Japanese Language Courses (N4)

Japanese, the language of over 128 million speakers, is a unique linguistic experience that goes beyond national borders. Japanese encompasses various regional dialects, including Kansai, Tohoku, and Okinawa. The language’s vocabulary is divided into Wago (Native Japanese words), Kango (Chinese loanwords), and Gairaigo (loanwords from Western languages). In terms of grammar, Japanese follows a Subject-Object-Verb sentence structure, with verbs placed at the end. The verb, while expressive in tense, negation, aspect, and mood, remains neutral to gender or number variations in subjects. The writing system, a fusion of kanji, hiragana, and katakana, is versatile, allowing both vertical and horizontal orientations.
